Sacred Heart Church - The Heart and Hands of the Community

Sacred Heart Parish has many ministries in which its parishioners can be involved with.

We offer many different opportunities for the gifts of time and talent to be shared within the parish and within the community. We greatly appreciate those gifts for without them the church is just a building, not a living, breathing parish of caring people.

These fall into five main categories:

Catechesis: Refers to the whole of the efforts within the Church to make disciples, to help people to believe that Jesus is the Son of God...and to educate and instruct them in this life and thus build up the Body of Christ.

Community Building: All ministries engaged in providing an environment where people experience a sense of belonging, support, ongoing conversion and encouragement to participate in the mission of Jesus.

Liturgical: some roles in the Liturgy are exercised by lay people who place their time and talent at the service of the liturgical assembly during the times of communal worship.

Service: All ministries working together to bring the Gospel message to the world through actions center on justice, peace, and charity.
